Dig Racing from Atlanta – Corvette Z06 vs Lambo, GT-R & Hellcat

October 21st, 2015

If what this ‘Vette does to the competition is an example of Southern hospitality – then I don’t believe I’ll have any – thanks anyhow. The Chevrolet C6 Corvette Z06 rolls off the assembly line with a 505hp 7.0-liter LS7 with titanium alloy connecting rods and a dry sump oiling system. This particular car has been treated to a camshaft upgrade, a high-flow intake manifold, and a nitrous kit. No estimated horsepower rating has been made available at this time. You certainly don’t expect a $65k Chevy to spank a $240k Lamborghini Gallardo but that is exactly what happens at Read More

Taking it to the Streets Camaro LS1

October 20th, 2015

With only exhaust headers, a cold air intake, and a slight camshaft upgrade, this 2002 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 LS1 is spanking some serious arse on the streets of a well known South American country. Rapid acceleration and smooth shifts help to propel this bad bowtie to victories against some pretty impressive competition. As night falls south of the border, the street racing heats up. The first challenger is an LS3 powered C6 Grand Sport. The Z28 makes quick work of this guy and moves on to the evening’s next victim. The next contest is with a Chrysler 300 SRT8 and Read More

Twin Turbo Viper Runs 8.39-Second Quarter-Mile

October 16th, 2015

This video begins with a no B.S. dyno run that offers proof of this Viper’s horsepower availability. This thing turned out 1,724-horsepower at the rear-wheels with the boost dialed down to 30 psi (maximum boost capacity is estimated at 35 to 36 psi). After pushing the dyno to its utter limits, the guys at D3 take the Snake out to the track for some electronically timed 1/4-mile passes. D3 has a reputation for producing 8-second cars and this clip certainly doesn’t tarnish it. This Mopar is equipped with a Greg Good racing engine, upgraded cylinder head fasteners, Pro EFI fuel Read More

Street Racing 2014 Challenger SRT vs 2015 Mustang 5.0

October 13th, 2015

This street racing battle consists of a series of roll races between a 2014 Dodge Challenger SRT 392 and a 2015 Ford Mustang 5.0. These two cars are among the cream of the crop of awesome new retro muscle models that have been introduced over the last five-years. I believe it is safe to say that the Mustang is a little overmatched. The Mustang has only been modified with a Rousch rear axle. It is equipped with a 420hp 5.0-liter V8 and has a manual transmission. The Challenger has been straight piped for minimum exhaust restriction and it sounds great! Read More

10 Fastest Rides of Drag Week 2015

October 3rd, 2015

Hot Rod Drag Week is a unique event in which competitors line up in heads up dig racing action on 5 different tracks during a 5-day period. At the end of the event the racer with the lowest drag week average (DWA) from the 5 days of racing wins the title of HOT ROD’S fastest street car in America. Oh yeah, to earn the street car title, one must drive their dragster to each event (1,000-miles total). The competition is grueling with many competitors choosing to pull small cargo trailers to accommodate their personal effects, tools, and spare parts. Check Read More

1500HP TT Dodge Dart Swinger Runs 7-Second Quarter-Mile

September 28th, 2015

Matt Blasco drove 28-hours from Canada (with a trailer in tow) to campaign this ’72 Swinger at the Lucas Oil Dragway, in Indianapolis, Indiana, during Drag Week 2015. His mom bought the Mopar for $150 and gave it to him when he was only 15-years young. It ain’t the prettiest thing on the track but it sure has some Camaros crying for mercy and some Mustangs running for cover. This bodacious Chrysler is running a 572-cubic-inch mill with Indy Predator Hemi cylinder heads and twin 91-millimeter turbochargers. It is detuned to 1,500hp during this event but has the capacity to Read More

Street Racing Breakup Camo Vette vs DriverMods Viper

September 25th, 2015

If you love street racing, then you’ve gotta see this video. It features an awesome sounding supercharged (centrifugal) Corvette in breakup camouflage. He is hooking up with the DriverMods Viper T/A and a red Corvette for a monumental evening of street racing. The Camo ‘Vette is equipped with a forged low compression motor with PRC cylinder heads and a ECS 1500 supercharger with a methanol injection. The transmission and rear differential have been upgraded, as well. Power is estimated at 800whp. We know the DriverMods Viper well. It has been tuned by Lund Racing, it has tons of aftermarket bolt-ons Read More

7-Second SRT Ram Pickup

September 18th, 2015

How do you make a pickup fly? Try starting with an 8.4-liter V-10 Viper engine with a set of highly sought after Striker ultra-high-performance cylinder heads. Add twin Garrett GTX 88-millimeter turbochargers routed through a massive intercooler (with a methanol injection) and you have a Ram that packs quite a punch. So much so, in fact, that this video shows it making a pass of 7.97-seconds at 183 mph (1/4-mile). When you are making 1,900+hp no one seems to care about how you look but the great folks at JMB Performance and Powdercoat have built a beautiful truck, inside and Read More

Dodge Viper TA with 250 Shot of Nitrous on the Dyno

September 12th, 2015

Check out this Dodge Viper TA with a 250 shot of nitrous making some pulls on a DynoJet Dyno.   Before adding Nitrous the Viper already had some mild modifications (headers, exhaust, tune) and put down 623 horsepower and 589 ft-lbs of torque to the rear wheels. After adding the Nitrous Outlet 250 shot the Viper put down 879 horsepower and 903 ft-lbs of torque, an impressive 256 horsepower pickup.  Since traction would be an obvious  issue, they added a set of CCW wheels with Mickey Thompason tires to keep the power down. A few races are already waiting for the Read More

Hellcat Slayer? Cadillac CTS-V Street Racer

September 7th, 2015

It’s street racing – south of the border style and we got a pair of bad-axs Cadillacs lining up against all comers. The first one is equipped with a 125 shot of nitrous, a camshaft upgrade, and a crank pulley upgrade. He says that he’s making somewhere in the “high sixes” (kinda’ tongue in cheek, if you ask me). He then proceeds to walk the dog on a 750hp Dodge Challenger Hellcat with an aftermarket driveshaft and an E85 tune. Both cars are supercharged from the factory. Next up is a pretty blue Corvette Z06 with a 250 shot of Read More
