Cardiac Cadillac – Low 9-Second CTS-V

July 30th, 2018

Making the transition from a 9-second quarter-mile car to a legitimate 8-second car can be aggravating if not downright frustrating. The most intricate details must be considered and, if you are not careful, the process will dominate your thoughts and cloud your judgement. Then again – if it were easy – everyone would be doing it.

Most people who get into the drag racing game choose a coupe as their vehicle. This guy has selected a sedan as his weapon of choice and not just any sedan but the luxurious flagship of the GM lineup.

The CTS-V Sedan is well equipped with a massive 6.2-liter V8 engine and a Lingenfelter supercharger. This is a rear-wheel drive sedan with an 8-speed transmission (in stock trim). Factory power is rated at 640hp and it can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3.8-seconds. Not bad for a mass produced vehicle.

Obviously, this Caddy has been modified dramatically. The tires and exhaust alone indicate that this is a car skillfully prepared to crush the quarter-mile.

The question is: Can he accomplish his goal and dip into the eights tonight? Have a look at the video and find out.
