Canadian Street Racing – Toronto Roll and Dig

September 9th, 2016

canadian-street-racing-roll-and-digSo, this is how they do it in the Great White North, eh? It seems like they really know how to get to it when it comes to high caliber street racing. All the heavy hitters showed up in Toronto – and on short notice, too. There is the usual onslaught of Camaros and Corvettes but there are also a couple of unusual rides, including an LS powered RX-7, a Mercedes-Benz E55 AMG, and a BMW S1000 RR motorcycle (modified).

The RX-7 is running a 5.3-liter Chevy small block LS motor with a camshaft upgrade, a Borg Warner S480 turbocharger (14-pounds of boost), and a 700R4 transmission. This tiny car looks like it has been skillfully modified by someone with a bunch of know-how.

The bike takes on a supercharger 1,150hp C6 Corvette and a “stock” (whatever that means) Hellcat. He goes one-for-one; I’ll let you watch those for yourself. You might be surprised. Next – I thought they only did this in Switzerland – they take over the highway for a round of dig racing. Two Hellcats are locked in a smoke filled battle of Mopars and the in-car camera yields some hilarious (tire conscious) Canadian accents. You gotta see this clip because there’s tons more Canuck street racing action, including the Turbo LS RX-7 and the 650hp MB E55 AMG.

NOTE: We neither condone nor encourage racing on public streets.
