Camaro SS vs. Porsche Panamera – Street Hits

August 4th, 2020

As competitors gather for some street hits in the interstate (south of the border), we come across a matchup that can only be described as unlikely. A tuned Porsche Panamera with bolt-ons has been called out by a Camaro SS owner. The Camaro is also tuned with bolt-ons and he’s running E85 fuel. The Porsche is running on high-octane pump gas. Let’s have a closer look.

The Chevrolet is powered by a naturally aspirated and direct injected 6.2-liter V8 engine. The car has been tuned and has many bolt-on mods, including a set of long tube exhaust headers. In stock trim the Camaro SS can produce 455hp and 455 lb.-ft. of torque.

The Porsche is a luxury sedan with a twin turbocharged 4.8-liter V8 engine that can churn out 493hp and 516 lb.-ft. of torque in factory condition. This particular Porsche has been tuned and treated to a downpipe modification that deletes the catalytic converter. This grocery-getter should have all the Camaro can handle and then some.

Take a look as these two purpose-built street cars roll out for an evening of fun. There’s a Corvette ZR1 that gets involved in the action, too.
