Camaro SS Manual vs. Mustang GT Auto – Street Hits

September 29th, 2022

Let’s get this party started! Tonight, we have a pair of all-motor beasts going at on the interstate of Old Mexico. First, the cars:

The Camaro SS is a 1LE version. Powered by a 6.2-liter LT1 V8 engine, the Camaro SS 1LE is capable of generating 455hp and accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in 3.5-seconds. The 1LE package yields forged aluminum wheels (wrapped in Goodyear Eagles), Brembo brakes, magnetic ride control and dual-mode performance exhaust – among other things. This particular Camaro SS has been upgraded with a full accoutrement of aftermarket performance bolt-ons (including exhaust headers and MSD ignition), and it has been tuned to burn E85 fuel. It’s also running a 6-speed manual transmission.

On the other hand, the Mustang GT utilizes a 10-speed automatic transmission for shifting duties. Under the hood is a 450hp 5.0-liter V8 engine that can churn out 450hp. A stock Mustang GT can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 4.2-seconds. This car has been enhanced with a catalytic converter delete kit (off road use only). It has also been tuned to burn E85.

Both cars have complete interiors, and both are on street tires. Saddle up cowboys (and cowgirls) it’s time to ride.
