This is how they roll in the Golden State (Mexico). In one long day – known as West Coast Cash Days – 32 competitors will dig race on a closed course to claim $13k in cash. This is an eighth-mile, single elimination, flashlight start with cameras at the start and finish lines. Don’t jump early and don’t be the first to cross the center line or you lose. Typical street race scenario.

We’ve got everything here from shoebox Chevys to Fox Body Mustangs to doodle bug Volkswagens. These racers are laying it down on the streets.

In the first race we have a 70-something Camaro with nitrous against a Fox Body Mustang. Both cars cut a clean light and come out of the hole with the front wheels in the air. When they put them back down, the Camaro is out front and takes the win.

Race 2 features a Volkswagen Bug (with a VW motor) and a Gen VI Mustang. This anti-climactic contest results in a stall by the Bug and a victory for the Ford.
