BMW M3 vs. Porsche 911 Turbo S – Street Hits

January 14th, 2022

Greetings fellow gearheads and aficionados of horsepower from every walk of life. Tonight, we are taking it back to the streets (of Mexico)! It’s on like hotcakes for these competitors in import hot rods. This well-produced clip focuses on a pair of German machines that have been slightly modified to enhance performance. On the agenda for the evening are contests of the roll and dig variety. Take a look.

The BMW M3 is a luxury sedan equipped with a twin turbo 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder engine. In stock trim, it is capable of producing 473hp and 406 lb.-ft. of torque. A six-speed manual transmission is the only game in town for the M3.

In the other lane, the Porsche 911 Turbo S is a mid-engine powered coupe with a twin turbocharged 3.8-liter flat six-cylinder motor that can make 640hp and 590 lb.-ft. of torque.

Doesn’t seem like this will be much of a race, you say? Take into consideration that both these cars have undergone varying degrees of performance modification and tuning.

Shall we see what happens when the rubber meets the road?
