Beaten by a Girl – Nasty Camaro ZL1 Spanks 1000HP Mustang GT500

So, a pretty blonde sends you a message. She wants to challenge you to a race. It’s a grudge race and – by all accounts – she has a pretty bad car. What do you do? Roll out and give it all you got? Withdraw gracefully and avoid the possible embarrassment of getting beaten by a member of the fairer sex? Let’s investigate.

Our car is a Mustang GT500 – and not an ordinary one. It has been modified with a Kenne Bell 3.6-liter supercharger (dual pass heat exchanger). The motor is a built 5.8-liter V8 with Diamond pistons, Manley connecting rods and a Cobra Jet crankshaft. The camshaft is an L&M NSR and everything is put together with ARP Performance fasteners. The fuel injectors are ID 1700 supplied by a Kenne Bell Boost-a-Pump and the throttle body is a Kenne Bell 168-millimeter on a Bigun intake manifold. Exhaust mods include American long tube racing headers, an x-pipe and Pypes electric cutouts. The powertrain is tuned by Kenne Bell Performance and it is burning E85 fuel. The wheels are custom Super Snakes. The transmission is manually shifted with an MGW short throw shifter and a McLeod twin disc clutch. Maximum output is estimated to be 1,000hp to the rear wheels.

As for the Camaro ZL1 – the factory supercharger has been replaced with a Whipple. Of course, the engine is a 6.2-liter LS V8 built by Vengeance Racing. Safe to say, it has the best internals that money can buy. A set of Kooks long tube exhaust headers and a custom exhaust give this Chevy its voice and car owner Elizabeth gave her a name. It’s Miley. Miley can produce 1,200hp to the rear wheels.
