When it comes to horsepower, high speeds, and record shattering passes, there are few firms that can compete with AMS Performance and their wildly modified Nissan GT-Rs.

Well, now they are getting in the 1/4-mile game with this purpose-built GT-R, called the Alpha G (the owner’s name is Gidi).  This video brings us the car’s debut testing session that took place during TX2K16. The AMS crew is pretty close-mouthed regarding the setup but they did say that the turbos were massive Garrett GTX units and the engine is a custom design that they are tweaking. Horsepower is estimated to be in excess of 2,000! The best pass of this video is 7.77-seconds @ 184 mph and that is at half-boost (35 psi of a possible 70 psi). The GT-R world record 1/4-mile battle is heating up – stay tuned.
