Alpha16 Nissan GT-R Sets New World Record in the Quarter-MileI never saw a finer looking gaggle of GT-Rs than the one brought forth by the TopSpeed Motorsports (TSM) team, during the 2015 Buschur Shootout at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio. However, as we can all agree, it ain’t how you look – it’s what you got under the hood. Under the hood is where TSM does their best work. You want evidence? How about a world record E.T. (for a Nissan GT-R) in the 1/4-mile? Oh yeah, that’ll work.

The TCM team took 1st and 2nd place in the GT-R Quick classification (with the Alpha16 car), posting four 7-second runs. The first was a 7.975 @ 178.87, the second was a 7.955 @ 179.21, the third pass was a 7.949 @181.30, and finally the NEW World Record pass of 7.917-seconds @ 179.33 mph. This day of racing was hot and humid, so we look for even more great things from this talented team and their innovative tuning ideas.
