940HP AWD Eagle Talon – Ride Along

September 17th, 2018

Greetings racing fans! Climb on board Andrew’s 1994 Eagle Talon and buckle your harness for an earth-shattering ride along. Powered by a 4G63 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with a Precision 66-millimeter turbocharger, this import is capable of making 1,100hp at the crankshaft and putting 940whp to the pavement. All that power is delivered via a 5-speed Sheptrans (built by Andrew, Steve Rogue, and Tim Zimmer of TMZ ) gearbox and an all-wheel drivetrain. Air conditioning, power steering, and a full interior make this an official street car.

Under the hood, the Mitsubishi mill is a 6-bolt unit with a Kiggly main girdle and a stock crank (ARP main studs). BME 150-millimeter aluminum connecting rods with Clevite bearings and custom 9:1 JE pistons round out the bottom end. It has an o-ringed deck with an MLS cylinder head gasket under a 1G ported and polished head with oversize valves, Kiggly Beehive valve springs and retainers, and a Kiggly hydraulic lash adjuster (HLA). The camshafts are Jun 272 and the shiny valve cover is Frontline Fabrication with an All-Star catch can.

Forced air induction is handled using a Precision Gen 2 6466 turbocharger plumbed with a Punishment Racing T3 manifold, 3-iinch exhaust, a 5-inch intercooler with 3-inch piping, and a Boomba 75-millimeter throttle body.

Driveline, suspension, body, and interior modifications are plentiful and this car is put together with skill. Take a look.
