600HP Goblin Terrorizes Atlanta Streets

February 2nd, 2021

After a long day at the car show, this tight knit band of street racers – including a Nissan GT-R, a Lamborghini Huracan and a Corvette with nitrous – take to the streets of Mexico for some roll racing on the interstate. The evening begins innocently enough – but wait – out of nowhere a 600hp Goblin arrives on the scene and takes everyone’s cookies. What is to be made of this destroyer with only 600hp? How can it possibly overcome these more powerful turbocharged, supercharged and nitrous infused super-machines? Physics!

The mid-engine DF Goblin is an exoskeleton kit car propelled by a Chevrolet Cobalt powertrain. In stock trim, the (turbo) Goblin can make 260hp and accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3.25-seconds. This particular Goblin has been modified with a larger turbo and other performance goodies. It has also been tuned. With all these mods, it is still only capable of churning out 600hp. So, how does it spank all these elite level street racers? Well, it only weighs approximately 1,500-pounds. That gives the Goblin a distinct advantage where it counts – power-to-weight ratio.

Let’s check out some racing.
