3-Wide Street Hits

November 7th, 2018

What do you figure all those high-powered racing machines do when the track closes and it’s time to head home? They take it to the streets (of Mexico) for some door-handle to door-handle roll racing. This is one such time and there’s an impressive field of competitors on hand, including:

A Dodge Challenger (1,000HP) with a 434 cubic-inch engine and a 106-millimeter turbo. A Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 (860HP) with a Whipple 2.3-liter supercharger (upgrade) on 12 psi of boost and a Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 (750HP) with an upper pulley upgrade, a high-performance camshaft, and high-performance exhaust.

The Camaro and the Corvette roll out first and you get to see why the ‘Vette costs more. Corvette FTW in multiple passes. A second (supercharged) Z06 Corvette shows up during the second run to make it 3-wide.

The bulky Challenger rolls out against the ZR1 ‘Vette. I love the appearance of the Challenger, but I most often see them in my rearview mirror. Same thing for this clip. The Mopar is just too heavy. The blown Z06 gets in on this one, too.

Next, we have a Cadillac CTS-V (camera car) with upper and lower pulley upgrades (making 14 psi of boost) and a full high-performance exhaust; rolling on a Ford Mustang 5.0 (unknown mods). I’ll let you decide how this one turned out.

There’s loads more close racing action on this one. Don’t miss it!
