2016 Porsche 911 Turbo S vs. 2021 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 – 50 MPH Street Hits

April 9th, 2022

What we have here is a high-flying street battle between a pair of gently modified performance machines. It’s roll racing on the streets of old Mexico.

The all-wheel drive 2016 Porsche 911 Turbo S is powered by a twin turbocharged 3.8-liter V6 situated in the rear of the car. The car featured in this video has been upgraded with some serious performance goodies. They include a performance exhaust with a crossover pipe, larger intercoolers and an aftermarket intake plenum. This German beauty is running 93-octane pump gas and it has a methanol injection system. The Porsche has her work cut out for her this evening.

Looking raw in blue, the 2021 Ford Mustang GT500 is propelled by a supercharged 5.2-liter V8 engine. This car has been treated to a performance exhaust system, an aftermarket intake manifold, oversized fuel injectors, a performance supercharger pulley and it’s tuned to burn E85 fuel. This is a killer ‘Stang.

The Mustang holds a distinctive horsepower advantage but is slightly heavier than the Porsche. Should be a good race.

The two cars line up for the first race of the evening. The competition will initiate at 50 mph. Buckle up!
