EAS got their hands on a brand new 2015 BMW M3 F80 Sedan and gave it a few runs on their DynoJet Dyno.  BMW’s latest ///M has a 3.0L Inline 6 Twin Turbo engine rated at 425 horsepower and 406 ft-lbs of torque through a dual clutch transmission.   On the dyno the M3 put down 424 horsepower and 425 ft-lbs of torque to the rear wheels.  Using an estimated 13% driveline loss for it’s DCT transmission,  that puts the new M3 at 487+ horsepower.

While the dyno numbers are certainly impressive no matter how you calculate it, we’ll reserve judgement when we see some numbers at the track, with this kind of power we’re expecting some high 11’s to low 12’s at 115+ MPH right off the showroom floor with some decent traction.
