Dodge Viper Gen 4 Intake by K&N adds 18HP – 69-2527TTR

K&N has just released details on it’s new intake system, part 69-2527TTR, for the 2008 and later generation 4 Dodge Viper with the 600 horsepower 8.4 liter V10 engine. The intake system replaces the stock Dodge Viper airbox with twin powder coated aerodynamically engineered mandrel-bent aluminum intake tubes and dual K&N high-flow air filters for improved air delivery. K&N’s dyno results show horsepower gains throughout the RPM range with a peak pickup of 18.7 HP at 5,300 RPM. Honda S2000 Turbo with 800HP runs 9.9 @ 141 MPH

By Brooks Weisblat Carey Bales recently shattered our record book for an Honda S2000 running a 9.99 @ 141.89 MPH his 2004 Honda S2000 Turbo at Indianapolis Raceway Park, IN. Using a single GT37r turbo and an AEM engine management system, this car is pushing over 680 HP to the wheels via a PPG Transmission. Additional driveline strengthening was done by upgrading the rear end as well as using a DSS driveshaft and axles. Stock Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 runs in the 10’s

By Brooks Weisblat The first stock Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 finally made it into the 10’s this past weekend at a private drag strip rental at Maryland International Raceway. With some great weather and a density altitude (DA) of -350 feet, this bone stock ZR1, including stock tires ran an impressive 10.85 @ 129.89 MPH with Racerns driving the car. 1978 Chevrolet G Van is Car of the Month for October

Dave’s van is quite a surprising machine, pulling of wheel stands and running 9.9 @ 132 MPH in the 1/4 mile.
