Dodge Launches Production of New 2008 Dodge Viper SRT10

Auburn Hills, Mich., Oct 24, 2007 – Chrysler LLC today announced the manufacturing launch of the new 2008 Dodge Viper SRT10®, which is being built at the company’s Conner Avenue Assembly Plant in Detroit. In a time when most manufacturing plants utilize hundreds of state-of-the-art robots to assemble vehicles, a unique plant in Detroit is producing hand-built performance vehicles. At the Conner Avenue Assembly Plant, workers called “Craftspersons” hand-build the new Dodge Viper SRT10 and all-new 600-horsepower 8.4-liter SRT V-10 engine. Mercedes-Benz S600 RENNtech and Nitrous in the 10’s

Stephen from Mechanicsville Virginia recently attended a track event at the Maryland International Raceway with his modified Mercedes-Benz S600 running a 10.805 @ 130.23 MPH. This S600 is running a RENNtech computer upgrade along with Eisenmann exhaust and a nice 150 shot of nitrous from NX Nitrous Systems. Running race gas and BFG Drag Radials Stephen put down a couple of runs in the 10’s becoming the quickest S Class we’ve seen! With some cooler weather this amazing car could be in the mid 10’s.
