$2000 (and Tacos) Grudge Race – Turbo Chevelle vs Nitrous Fox Body Mustang

October 13th, 2021

Greetings drag racing fans and welcome to Irwindale Speedway in sunny California for a cash (and tacos) grudge race between Mike (Alameda Boys) and Jeff the Realtor. Sounds like a rowdy bunch, indeed.

Mike is rolling in his sharp Ford Mustang Fox Body. This pony car is powered by a carbureted small block (Ford) with a kit of nitrous. She’s making plenty of torque and Mike is confident that he can come out of the hole hard enough to ensure that his pocket will be full of cash and his belly will be full of tacos before the night is over.

In the other lane, Jeff will be piloting a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle with a turbocharged LS motor. While Mike is talking a little smack, Jeff is content to let his car do the talking on the track.

After a pair of impressive burnouts, both cars cut a clean light and launch with skill and precision. Sure enough, it looks as if Mike gained a slight advantage in his quick reaction time.

Mike’s advantage is short lived however, as Jeff’s turbo spools up and he drives around the Fox Body for the win. Great race and a well-produced video.
