1000-Mile Road Trip for 6-Second PROMOD Car

1000-Mile Road Trip for 6-Second PROMOD CarYou certainly don’t expect to see a full-blown PROMOD car pulling a trailer the 1,000-miles between drag racing facilities but that’s exactly what is happening on this video. This unique Drag Week event demands that contestants make the trip in the cars they plan to run.

Tom Bailey (and crew) not only made the trip in their radical PROMOD ’69 Camaro but they also managed to pull off a big win in the ultra competitive Unlimited Class. This thing is equipped with a 615-cubic-inch engine and a pair of 98-millimeter turbos. Despite having a few hiccups along the way (on and off the track), the crew managed to post a 6.76-second pass @ 212 mph. This is a brand new setup for these guys and you can bet they are only going to get better from here.
