Triumph TR 4 on the Nürburgring Nordschleife 2002 Prototype
By accident a little race between a TR 4 and a fast protoype race car. TR 4: 113 HP, wirespoke wheels, standard tires, standard equipment Prototype: 480kg, 120 HP, speed 250 km/h, Dunlop racing tires. The prototype driver was learning "the line". He repassed me when I cooled down my engine on the long straight to have a short break on the parking.

1969 Triumph Bonneville Race Start
Start of a race from the back of the grid with modern bikes as a result of no practice laps done. The old bonnie did itself proud.

Every now and then I like to dust off my old Bonnie racer and enter it in a more modern class at the local race track to give them a scare on the old bike. I'll post a few more racing clips. It has 11:1 pistons, a 2 into 1 exhaust, bigger carbs and is geared for 135 mph. Turn up the volume full taps and enjoy the sound.

Motor Paced Track Racing
Filmed at the Good Friday Track Meet at Herne Hill in South London, this is a Motor Paced Race (so says the programme) which features Triumph motorcycles riding on the velodrome track acting as wind buffers for the cyclists. The helmets of the Triumph pace riders are shaped to allow the riders to hear the shouted instructions of the cyclist to increase pace, slow down, overtake, etcetera. The distance is 50 laps, I've only filmed the first 9 minutes 30 seconds. The sound of those bikes is incredible, as is the speed that the cyclists maintain throughout the race.
