Cammed LS1 idle WOT compilation
Heads/Cam 1999 Pontiac Firebird Formula Idling and going WOT from a dig. 0-90 0-100 and 0-110. My first video edit, constructive criticism welcome.
My stock Firebird -94 LT1 - quarter mile run VW Open 24.5.08
I've put this Firebird to dyno and the result was 283,4 hp from the engine (good for a stock). I was curious to know its quarter mile performance.
VW Open drage race event was held in Kiikala Finland. The track was normal street. Not any "track bite glue" or enhancements used. These two pulls were done with normal street tires.
Traction wasn't very good on that street track. Actually it was very slippery. 2.73 rear end gave some advantage because it isn't so aggressive in the starts.
First pull was 14,519 and end speed 157,97
Second pull was 15,450 and end speed 155,98
During the second start tires spin off heavily. On the normal good traction street pavement i have had unofficial 14.2 - 14.4 quarter mile time with this car. So in the future i'm aiming to 14.0 - 14.2 times.
But the best official time with 2.73 is 14,519 at this moment...
