It's interesting to see how far racing technology has progressed. The V8 Supercar happens to be the same car as my 1/6th Radio controlled version, as featured in some of my other clips.

2008 Skope Classic - Ruapuna - Race 33 "Tourist Trophy"
The second in-car video of a race at Ruapuna (Powerbuilt Raceways) on Sunday, Feb 3rd in a "fun race" called the "Tourist Trophy". My car is a 1969 BMW 2002 and I took 6th place in this race (out of 19). The car right ahead of me in most of the video is a Datsun 1200 SS driven by verteran Kiwi racer Wayne Murdoch. Vince Belladonna's 308 LX Torana - Goldenstates win
This is Vince Belladonna's LX Holden Torana SLR/5000 racing for the Goldenstate Championships held at the Perth Motorplex over the weekend of November 30/December 1. Belladonna has been a regular racer at the Perth Motorplex since it opened, and also raced at Ravenswood Raceway. Over the years, Belladonna has gained a reputation for his huge burnouts, often getting the pumped up crowds onto their feet applauding for more! His immaculately presented and original SL/R Torana has run a personal best time of 10.9 seconds. It is powered by a cast-iron 308 Holden V8 engine which has helped him to win many meetings, making him one of the tougher competitors to beat. In the past, he has also won and come runner-up several times in the overall track season points standings. His success continued at the Goldenstate Championships recently where he won the event running an 11.25 second pass on an 11.25 second dial-in. Belladonna is supported by sponsors Vinci Chrome Platers, Balcatta Engines and his own business, Ital Concrete. He would also like to thank his family, crew, friends and race-fans for their continued support.
