I ran a 8.20 at 86 MPH 1.7 60 ft time at the slightly uphill Paradise drag strip located in Calhoun Ga. Everyone says they generally run 3 /4 tenth slower at this track compared to others in the area. Truck should run a 7.9 at a better track! My friends LS1 STS rear mount Turbo Ta (6psi tuned by Vengence racing) was running 8.3s this day but blew it off the line on this run. This is the same Ta that was on Pass Time at Atlanta Dragway!! Stock motor GMC Syclone runs 11.79 @ 114 MPH
This was my fastest pass on the stock motor/trans/converter, with major mods of PT51 turbo, Ultimate chip, and SMC alcohol injection (with 93 octane fuel). It was a real trick to get that stock converter to spool up hard on the line! But just listen to those tires light up :-) Boost pressure: ~23 PSI. GMC Syclone at Road America 2004 (chase cam)
One and a half laps. I had a blast! This was my first time on a road course. I detuned the truck to about a "high 12 second" performance level because I was running stock brakes (which I severely melted and have since upgraded).
