hey mike, i have a new GT, and my time is on here, and let me tell u, I have not had a CLOSE race with any LS1's . . . unless they were heavily modded. . . 05+ GT > LS1's . . . 70 more cubes and still can't beat us. . . sad

In your 93-97 group you forgot the cobra. I have a 97 cobra that went 13.6's bone stock. I encourage you to open your eyes and get your head out from in front of your computer screen. Its all in the driver. Ive seen many a SS and WS6 run high 13's all day long. Ive seen cars with good drivers run no better than 13.50's. Ive also seen a couple LS1's go pretty good with very little mods. I dont know why you whiny LS1-LT1 guys, always act like babies on-line. Your so quick to say go to motertrend or go here and qoute your power numbers. It pretty much common sense that bigger engine will make more power and torque. The LS-1 and LT-1 are great engines, but you people act like thet are gods gift to the earth. Any engine with 50+ years of research and development better be good or General Motors is doing something very wrong. Obviously a car with 69 cubic inces (LT-1) is going to romp a car with 281 inches and new technology (96-98 GT). The Cobra and LT-1s of that era are a drivers race stock for stock. On the track anything can happen. Dont be so quick to judge because of numbers on paper or the screen, because they aren't everything. Traction, driver skill, and weather all have a direct effect on the outcome of a race. Besides, there is nothing better than smoking 346 cubic inch LS-1's in my little, tiny 281ci N/A bolt on 97 cobra. And just remember, a 11 second car with a 14 second driver is just a 14 second car.
