2003 Ford Mustang GT 1/4 mile Drag Racing trap speed 0-60
(JOSEPH)
GUYS CAN THINK ITS BULLSHIT BUT I GOT THE TIMESLIP TO PROVE IT... WENT 13.1s A FEW TIMES BUT MOSTLY A CONSISTENT 13.3 CAR
(Taco Grande)
Post the time slip if you got one. Otherwise list your other mods you are leaving out. Your trap is consistent with 280 HP car. No way you got an extra 60 horse from full exhaust and a 75mm TB with plenum. 15% drive-train loss is 220 from your stock 260 flywheel number so to be at where your trap is you would have to add an extra 50-60hp. Those mods wont make that on a 03 GT no matter how nice the dyno is that day! If anything the 75mm throttle body hurt your numbers.

First off the car has never been dynoed, second off the car has a full exhaust with the intake bolt ons and maybe i did forget to mention i have a diablo sport tuner also... everything else is pretty much stock, considering i did a 13.14 at a 102.9 mph I'm launching the car at 5,000 rpm on bias ply slicks with a short throw and i've had 60' times go down to 1.71... Could really careless, GTs are possible of going low 13s, hell i know and seen a kid with a 99 gt 5spd that went 13.9 with stock open h pipe and a c.a.i. the track surface at pittsburgh raceway is sticky as hell hooks up really well...

I have been watching your debate. With slicks and a 5000 rpm launch I can see you running that time but only since you now mentioned the tuner. I was gonna say before you mentioned the tune that it is impossible to get the hp you got without the tune. I know you did not get it dynoed but by your mph you got more than just the exhaust. The tb and plenum don't really make power without the tune. Do you have a cai? The tb is a little over kill. You know that if you really ran that number with just those mods you have one of the fastest 99-04 GT's on the planet?
(Joseph)
well from PA i wouldnt say the fastest. theres a guy that races at the same track that i do with a gt running 12.5s with just some suspension upgrades and tuning and bolt ons ... i mean my car runs awesome for whats done to it, and yes theres a c.a.i on it... i dont baby the car at all yet i keep it clean and out of the rain and in showroom condition... i've already broken a rear axle from doing over 100 launchs at the drag strip on slicks... I'm not to worried about what numbers i'm putting down on the dyno, once i find a scanner or take a picture of my timeslip i'll post it
(Rumblin46)
Nice numbers! Can't figure out why the others don't believe ya! Totally believable in my book, especially with 60 fts in the 1.7X range. I've got a friend with a 99 with close to the same mods (no tune) and he runs 13.5's @ 101 on 18\
(Rumblin46)
My comment got cut for some reason. Anyway, those numbers on 18's with street tires with 2.1+ 60's. Your numbers seem right on to me!
(Rob)
The reason people were protesting was because all of his mods were not listed in the original post. Now that everything is in the open its obvious. He said his mods were exhaust and gears. Now hes got it up that its tuned, has a 75mm TB and CAI along with the intake plenum. That a whole nother' world!!Your talking at least 35 more HP with the intake side cleared up and the tune. Thats a big difference over full exhaust and gears Runmblin. Im sure you know the mod motor by your name and I'm telling you nothing new. Joe, nice car and have fun out there man!! You do the same Rumblin46!!
(A.K.)
Nice run man. I believe it 100% I have a completly stock 00 gt and I ran a 14.1 @ 98 with almost bald tires on. I also know a guy with the same bolt ons as you and ran a 13.4 with heavy 18's on his 99 gt. Keep up the good work
(ryan)
it could be done i got a 13.9 with a 2.2 sixty so pull the .4x from the sixty... and i dont have an intake, tb, gears, plenum, or headers...
