COBRA JOYRIDE - INSANE RACE- PALM SPRINGS
The 'Joyride' race came through our hometown of Palm Springs last weekend - And we were there with our cameras to greet them. Burnouts, fast cars (incl. Porsche Carrera GT, 750HP Cobra, tuned Mercedes SLR) and girls - All the usual Carpix Stuff. We will be participating in this race next year so keep watching . Winner Jerry Newport of Cincininati, Ohio, (2003 Miller Dragster w/ a 5.01 dial in, .034 RT, 5.030 ET at 137 MPH), defeated Brian Hendrickson of Hamilton, Ohio, (1972 Dodge Demon w/ a 7.71 dial in, .018 RT, 7.702 ET at 88 MPH), taking the $5,000 winners check. This race is shown in the last clip.
