how can i make my 2001 monte carlo ss faster i am trying to put it on a track with a 350 chevy caprice what can i do to it has a 3.8 engine

Turbo's, supercharger, NOS. It just depends on how much you want to spend. Check out www.zzperformance.com They do a lot with the GM 3.8, they currently hold the world record for fastest FWD 3.8 at just over 9 seconds.

Car Performance and Maintenance
I have a question for any body out there that enjoys improving your cars performance and over all polished look. I have a Black 2001 Monte Carlo SS with a 3.8, V 6. I would like to upgrade the power and look of this car. I was told that a super charger will work and I may be able to install it my self. Does any one have an oppinion or info on how to install and where to obtain this super charger? And what else do I need to change to bring this car up to performance?

Hey David. You can obtain a supercharger new from many places online. Like I mentioned in my post above, www.zzperformance.com has a wide variety of parts to make the 3.8l in your Monte into a beast. Also check out www.andysautosport.com if your looking for body kits as well as other dress up items. ZZP offers bother turbos and superchargers. Or you could always check out ebay or you loacal junk yard for a used L67 out of a grand prix or anoter MC. Just look around or feel free to ask me personally. Good luck!
