Feels good to be American, nice run. You can get DOT tires for the stock 19s and go faster w/ Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires in the stock size or 345s.

BFG also has the g-force Drag Radial in a 345/30-18, about the same height as stock.

have you tried a shift at full throttle on a c6 z06? i'm kind of afraid to blow that trans axle! but always shifted my older corvettes with no lift. less to think about, and positively makes for lower ETs
