With less than 10k on the odometer, Brad decided to do something special with his slug of a Gen III Camaro. He dropped it by Hawks Motorsports (Easley, S.C.) for a huge dose of TLC. So, we talked to Rick Wilson about the Patriot, a 2004 Subaru WRX built (in house) by Dirty Racing Products (DRP). Using IAG Case Halves, DRP upgraded the 2-liter boxer engine to a 2.5-liter, with a Manley crankshaft, Manley connecting rods, and Manley pistons. Headgames cylinder heads are equipped with GSC Stage 3 camshafts and Ferrea valvetrain components. E85 fuel is delivered using an Aeromotive brushless pump with fuel injectors from T1 and Injector Dynamics (ID). The Patriot is still on a stock (tuned) ECU.
